Pursuant to RSA 110-B:63-c, members of the NH National Guard may be able to take courses tuition-free in the state of NH!

To be eligible, NH National Guard members must:

  • Be an active member of the NH National Guard, residing either in- or out-of-state
  • Be enrolled in a degree-enhancing curriculum at a school that is part of either the Community College System of NH or the University System of New Hampshire
  • Have first utilized their federal education entitlements – this does not include the GI Bill or National Guard scholarships

Pursuant to NH 2022 SB-360, if you are married, you can transfer your tuition benefit to your spouse, to be used at any of the colleges in the Community College System of New Hampshire! To be eligible, NH National Guard members must have completed their initial mandatory service obligation. A four-year reserve duty obligation is required once the benefit has transferred. The benefit can also be transferred back from the spouse to you. Please speak with your Educational Services Officer or another counselor within your Military Service Branch for full requirements.
