Granite Edvance presents Destination College at Plymouth State University

March 11, 2026

Concord, NH – Destination College, a free college-planning event for high school juniors and their families, comes to Plymouth State University on Saturday, March 28. Presented by the NH nonprofit Granite Edvance, this year’s event will include workshops on a wide variety of topics, a college fair featuring representatives from more than 50 colleges and organizations, a laptop giveaway, and the opportunity to experience a college campus. Participants will also receive helpful resources for making their post-high school plans and meet the Granite Edvance team, who are here to support them throughout their journeys.

“Our goal at Destination College is to equip students and their families with tools, guidance, and reassurance as they begin planning for the future, all in a fun, supportive environment,” said Granite Edvance President and CEO Christiana Thornton. “We’ve learned that clear, personalized support and access to trusted advisers are important factors in breaking down barriers to college access, and this event is designed to provide those benefits.”

Granite Edvance expects to welcome more than 500 guests to its 27th annual Destination College event. Highlights of the day will include:

  • A choice of 10 workshops on topics ranging from building a college list to study-away experiences.
  • A college fair featuring representatives from more than 50 colleges and community-based organizations.
  • A drawing for three MacBook Air laptop computers. All NH high school juniors who register for Destination College will be entered into a drawing for the prizes. Winners will be drawn at random during the second half of the college fair, and students must be present during the drawing to claim their prize. See Terms and Conditions page for full details.

For many students and families, Destination College is a first step into college planning. Last year, Christine Murray of Londonderry showed up at the event feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of helping her daughter plan for college. The keynote address, workshops, and college fair helped clear up her confusion and boost her confidence. “I’m really, really glad we came,” she said. “I’m excited now for the process, not dreading it.”
