Granite Edvance opens new fall scholarship window for two-year and trade school students

October 6, 2025

Concord, NH – In an effort to increase access to scholarship funding, Granite Edvance has opened a new fall scholarship application window for New Hampshire community college and trade school students. Two-year and trade school scholarships will now be offered three times per year, to better support students in pursuing education goals throughout the year.

“Promoting access to education and training programs is a critical part of our mission,” said Granite Edvance President and CEO Christiana Thornton. “Through discussions with our partners around the state, we’ve identified an opportunity to further support students by aligning our scholarship program with the different timelines students follow as they pursue their goals. By offering more frequent rounds of scholarships throughout the year, we can ensure community college and trade school students have access to funding when they need it.”

The current scholarship window is open to NH residents studying at two-year and Title IV-eligible trade schools in or out of state. Up to $30,000 in scholarships will be awarded in this application window, in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $1,500. The scholarship application window closes on November 18, and awardees will be notified in early December.

The next round of scholarships for two-year and trade school students will open in mid-January 2026, and a third will open in mid-February. The scholarship program for students in four-year programs will continue to operate on an annual basis, opening in mid-February and closing in early May.

Granite Edvance has provided scholarships to hundreds of New Hampshire college students since the program began in 2005. In recent years, the statewide nonprofit has substantially increased its award amounts. Earlier this year, the organization awarded more than $750,000 to 290 students, including more than 70 two-year and trade-school students.

“[This] scholarship has provided me with financial assistance that is truly needed,” said Nicholas Sinotte of Plaistow, a 2025 scholarship recipient who is studying in the T-TEN Toyota program at Lakes Region Community College. “Thank you for your assistance in helping me start my new chapter of education and reach for my dreams. I hope in the future you will continue to help students like me, who may not be going to four-year college and choose a trade school.”
