Granite Edvance introduces 529 education savings plan contribution benefit for employees
Concord, NH – To support its employees in saving toward future education expenses for their families, Granite Edvance has launched a new 529 education savings plan contribution benefit. Eligible employees can now receive a monthly contribution of $100 made directly to a 529 education savings plan for their child or legal dependent.
“As a nonprofit helping New Hampshire students find their direction and fund their future, it’s always been vital to me that we live our mission just as fully when it comes to supporting our own employees,” said Granite Edvance President and CEO Christiana Thornton. “Many of us at Granite Edvance are parents or guardians – and still others among us are parents-to-be. For those parents-to-be on our team, we will also kick-start a 529 plan for their new child with a $250 contribution.”
A 529 education savings plan is a state-sponsored savings plan that can be used for qualified education expenses. Savings grow and compound tax-deferred and can be withdrawn tax-free. Studies have shown that college savings accounts offer financial benefits while also shaping young people’s mindsets about college and contributing to their success in school.
In addition to the new 529 benefit, Granite Edvance offers other benefits designed to support the overall financial wellness of employees, including a 100% tuition-reimbursement benefit for employees pursuing degree programs and a student loan repayment assistance benefit.
“These benefits have been instrumental in supporting team members in pursuing their professional goals and growing in their careers here at Granite Edvance,” Thornton said. “I am thrilled to be able to offer this additional benefit to support the next generation of students.”
