Terms and Conditions

No Purchase or Payment Necessary to Enter or to Win. Void Where Prohibited. 

Application and Scholarship Period 

The Granite Edvance 2-year Colleges and Trade Schools Spring Term 2026 Scholarship (the “Scholarship”) opens on September 30, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. ET and closes on November 18, 2025, at 4:59 P. M. ET or as determined by Sponsor’s computer system. All awards will be determined and communicated by the end of the “Spring Term Scholarship Period” December 31, 2025. 

Eligibility

Open to New Hampshire legal residents who, as of the end of the date of the Scholarship Period: 

  • Will be attending 2-year Colleges and Trade Schools during the Spring 2026 term of 2025–2026 school year (a “College Student”) at a qualifying Title IV eligible college or university (“Eligible Institution”) as identified on the US Department of Education’s 2025–26 Federal School Code List of Participating Schools 
  • Are able to demonstrate New Hampshire residency to the satisfaction of Granite Edvance Corporation (the “Sponsor”) (i.e. valid driver’s license or any State or Federally issued document);  
  • Attained a cumulative Grade-point Average (GPA) or equivalent of at least 2.0 at the time of application. 
  • Demonstrate financial need as evidenced by the Student Aid Index from FAFSA. Only students with a Student Aid Index of less than $40,000 are eligible to be awarded. Student must be able to submit the FAFSA and share their SAI to be considered. 
  • Students must provide financial aid offer in order to be awarded. 

*Applicants who are under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian read and agree to these Terms and Conditions in order to accept the Scholarship if selected as an Awardee. 

**Granite Edvance employees and their family members are not eligible to apply for the  Scholarship. 

To Enter

A completed Application Form, including Essay Submission, must be submitted online through the apply now button, at https://graniteedvance.org/cover-the-cost/search-for-scholarships/granite-edvance-scholarships/ for each scholarship sought. Essay Submissions must conform to the length specifications on the Application Form, and must be the authentic and original work of the submitter. 

Sponsor

The Granite Edvance Scholarship (the “Scholarship”) is sponsored by Granite Edvance Corporation, 3 Barrell Court, Concord, NH 03301 (the “Sponsor”). This scholarship contest and the associated prizes are provided by “the Sponsor”, Granite Edvance Corporation. 

Prize

Awardees will be awarded a one-time scholarship. For the 2026 Spring Term Scholarship the Sponsor will award a total of up to $30,000, in scholarship amounts of up to $1,000 and $1,500, depending on the type of program the awardee is enrolled in. 

 Each scholarship award will be sent from the Sponsor to the awardee’s confirmed school address provided with the application. This will occur upon verification of each awardee’s enrollment and include instructions for the funds to be applied to the awardee’s student account. If the funds exceed the awardee’s outstanding balance, the remaining funds must be refunded to the awardee directly in the form of a check from the college. This scholarship must be applied to i) required tuition, room, board, and fees of the educational institution or (ii) fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for awardee’s courses at the institution. The Sponsor may ask for proof of the expenses covered by this scholarship to ensure the funds were applied to educational expenses. If the awardee does not attend an Eligible Institution in the Spring 2026 term, the funds must be returned to the Sponsor. The awardee is liable for any potential tax liabilities/obligations incurred as a result of receiving the scholarship. 

Awards

Awardees and award amounts will be selected by a committee of Sponsor’s staff members. Entries will be evaluated based on criteria including how effectively the essay prompts are addressed, relevance and applicability of applicant responses to application questions, and objective compliance with scholarships’ individual eligibility factors. Decisions by the committee are final and binding and are not subject to appeal or review. Award decisions are made in part based on a demonstration of financial need, and in instances where the committee must choose between two similar applicants, preference will be given to the applicant with a greater demonstrated financial need.  

An awardee may receive only one (1) scholarship per Academic Year. The Sponsor is defining an Academic Year as the time period that begins with a Fall term and includes the Spring term and Summer term that immediately follow. Awardees from prior Academic Years are eligible to apply. 

Notification

Awardees will be notified no later than December 31, 2025, via email and/or telephone. 

Limited Liability

If for any reason this Scholarship is not capable of running as intended, including, without limitation, due to infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, fire, flood, storm, or other natural cataclysm, riot, strike, civil commotion, government regulation or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Scholarship, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to terminate, modify or suspend the Scholarship, in whole or in part, at any time, without notice, and to distribute the awards via random drawings from among all non-suspect eligible entries. 

Any Applicant who supplies false information, obtains entries by fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these Terms and Conditions in an attempt to obtain any benefit, will be disqualified. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking or caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Scholarship, or by any technical or human error. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, or theft or destruction of, unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, spam filters or firewalls, inaccessible email addresses or folders, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Applicant’s or any other person’s computer (or any information or material stored therein) relating to or resulting from participation in this Scholarship or downloading any materials in this Scholarship. 

Consent Release

Each Awardee’s acceptance of an award constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Sponsor to use the Awardee’s name, photograph, video, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state) for any and all public relations, advertising and/or promotional purposes as determined by Sponsor, in all forms of media and by all manners (now and hereafter known), without notice, consent, review, approval or further compensation. Acceptance of an award also constitutes the Awardee’s permission for the Sponsor to share the Awardee’s name and mailing address with other entities for recognition purposes. 

Releases

All Applicants, as a condition of participation or entering in this Scholarship, agree to defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsor and Released Parties from and against any and all liability, claims, damages, injuries or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with: (a) accessing the Sponsor’s website; (b) participating in any aspect of the Scholarship, including, without limitation, while preparing for, participating in and/or traveling to or from any award- or Scholarship-related activity, including, without limitation, any injury, damage, death, loss or accident to person or property; (c) the receipt, ownership, possession, loss, use or misuse of any scholarship; (d) viruses or any downloading or other problems with the Scholarship application; (e) any typographical, printing or other error in these Terms and Conditions, advertisements or the announcement of offering of any award; or (f) the accuracy or inaccuracy of any information or advice provided to Winner about any aspect of the Scholarship by anyone other than the Sponsor. Each Awardee bears all liability and risk of loss to their respective award after it has been delivered. 

Modification

In no event will Sponsor be obligated to provide awards in excess of the total dollar amount stated in these Terms and Conditions for the applicable scholarship period. If for any reason Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that the Scholarship is no longer capable of running as intended by these Terms and Conditions for any reason whatsoever, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend, postpone, delay or modify the Scholarship, in whole or in part. If Sponsor determines that more award notices are distributed than the number of awards offered in these Terms and Conditions, Sponsor shall immediately suspend the Scholarship and cease distribution of awards, and Sponsor reserves the right to distribute any remaining awards (up to the total set forth in these Terms and Conditions) in a manner deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor. 

Governing Law

By participating, Applicants agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions, Sponsor’s Website Terms of Use (if any, and if applicable to Applicant’s method of participation), and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Except where prohibited, Applicant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Scholarship or any award provided shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and any judicial proceeding shall take place in a federal or state courts located in Merrimack County, New Hampshire ; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Scholarship, but in no event legal fees; and (3) under no circumstances may any Applicant obtain awards for, and each Applicant hereby waives all rights to claim, any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the Applicants, Sponsor or the Released Parties in connection with the Scholarship, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of new Hampshire, without regard to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of New Hampshire or any other jurisdiction) which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of New Hampshire. 

Data Collection/Privacy

Sponsor collects personal information from Entrants when they submit an Application for the Scholarship. The information collected is subject to Granite Edvance’s Privacy Policy located at https://graniteedvance.org/privacy-policy/. Completing the entry form also constitutes your consent to opt-in to Sponsor’s email marketing list. You may opt-out of Sponsor’s email marketing list at any time, by using any “unsubscribe” link. If you decide to opt out, this will not affect your ability to enter the Scholarship or your odds of winning a prize in the Scholarship.
