The Granite Edvance Scholarship
Granite Edvance offers scholarships for NH undergraduate students as part of our commitment to helping students find their calling and fund their future. Since 2021, we’ve awarded more than $2 million in scholarships.Open Scholarships
We currently offer an annual scholarship for NH students enrolled in four-year undergraduate programs in or out of state. We also offer scholarships three times a year for students in two-year associate-degree programs and Title IV-eligible trade-school programs.

Award amounts up to $1,000 for trade schools and up to $1,500 for two-year programs

What do I need to apply?
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for our scholarships, you must be:
- A New Hampshire resident
- What to have ready when applying: Proof of New Hampshire residency, to the satisfaction of Granite Edvance Corporation (a high school transcript if currently enrolled in a NH high school; a letter from a college, university, social service agency, or employer attesting to your residency; a college enrollment verification showing your address; an insurance policy or bill showing your address; or a notarized letter attesting to your residency)
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in classes totaling at least six credits at an eligible school
- Achieving a GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of application
- What to have ready when applying: Official or unofficial high school or college transcript
- Able to demonstrate financial need
- What to have ready when applying: Screenshot of your FAFSA estimated SAI (can be found in your FAFSA confirmation email or through your studentaid.gov account) and a copy of your financial aid award

What does the application involve?
Information
Our application asks for information including your demographics, residency and school requirements, high school and college information, and financial need. This informational portion will take about 20 minutes to complete.
Essay
The application also requires an essay, which will help our scholarship committee learn about you, your challenges, your achievements, and your passions. The essay should be between 400 and 650 words.
A strong essay goes beyond listing achievements. It reflects on the moments that shaped you and the lessons they taught. Share the stories behind your accomplishments, what they meant to you, how they changed your perspective, and how they prepared you for what comes next. The most compelling essays show depth, growth, and a clear vision of how your past will help you thrive in the future.
Essay prompt: Tell us about an experience, relationship, or situation that influenced your life. Describe what you learned from it and how it affected your choices. Also, explain how receiving this scholarship would help you continue your education and reach your goals.
What happens after the application is submitted?
Scholarship applicants will be notified whether they received a scholarship via email within eight weeks of the scholarship deadline.
