NHHEAF Network Offers $250,000 in Scholarships to NH College Students
Returning undergraduate students eligible for $2,500 to $5,000; application deadline May 1
Concord, N.H. – The New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) Network is offering a total of $250,000 in scholarships to New Hampshire residents who are returning undergraduate students at two-year and four-year postsecondary institutions.
The Granite State nonprofit organization, established in 1962, aims to empower students of all ages and backgrounds to discover and achieve their education and career goals.
“The NHHEAF Scholarship program is a reflection of our deep commitment to New Hampshire students and families,” said Christiana Thornton, NHHEAF Network President & CEO. “We are thrilled to expand our financial support to returning undergraduate students this year, offering a greater number of iindividual scholarships as well as a wider range of scholarship opportunities.”
Through the NHHEAF Scholarship program, students are eligible for individual scholarship awards of $2,500 or $5,000, based on demonstration of financial need. Four categories of scholarships are available:
- The NHHEAF Community Service Scholarship
- The NHHEAF Academic Excellence Scholarship
- The NHHEAF Leadership Scholarship
- The NHHEAF Opportunity Scholarship (for first-generation college students)
To be eligible, students must be New Hampshire residents, although they may attend college out of state. They must be enrolled in college at least half-time and be a returning undergraduate student (non-freshman) in fall 2022.
